The Cass County Sheriff’s office reports a pedestrian hit and run accident happened early Thursday morning on US 12 near Bell Rd in Milton Township.
At approximately 4:25am, deputies were notified that a person had been struck by a vehicle and that vehicle had left the scene.
Deputies are in the early stages of the investigation, but they have identified the pedestrian as Joseph Marazita of Buchanan.
Marazita went by ambulance to Memorial Hospital in South Bend where he is currently being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
