Former Berrien County Commissioner Ezra Scott is seeking a new local office. He addressed the Berrien County Board of Commissioners Thursday.
“I have filed my paperwork and I’m running for drain commissioner for Berrien County,” Scott said.
During an earlier committee of the whole meeting, Scott criticized some drain projects that were included in the requisitions being considered by the commission.
Scott announced a bid for U.S. Senate in June, but the website for that campaign is no longer online. He also ran as a third-party candidate for the House of Representatives last year, losing to Congressman Tim Walberg.
As a county commissioner, Scott represented New Buffalo and worked on coastal erosion issues, travelling to Washington to seek support for mitigation projects.
