South Haven/Van Buren County Convention and Visitors Bureau Director Jennifer Sistrunk has been recognized as the CVB Star of the Year by the Michigan Restaurant and Lodging Association.
She received the honor last week at the group’s annual Stars of the Industry Awards at Saint John’s Resort in Plymouth. The event highlights outstanding leaders in the hospitality industry throughout Michigan. According to the MRLA, award recipients “have demonstrated professionalism and creativity while going above and beyond their role to contribute to the positive image of the industry.”
The CVB Star of the Year award “recognizes a staff person who works with members, vendors and consultants to implement marketing programs that actively motivate travelers to visit and frequently return to their destination or area.”
Sistrunk says she’s honored to receive the award, adding she’s spent most of her life living in South Haven and finds it a joy to welcome people to the area
