Lawrence (Larry) Lee De Pierre, 64, of Paw Paw passed away December 6, 2023, following a long illness.
Larry was born October 16, 1959, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the son of John (Jack) De Pierre and Beverly (Forney) Page.
Larry was self-employed, operating his flooring business until retiring due to health conditions. Larry was an avid sportsman and could be found on the lake fishing, or in the woods and fields hunting, never deterred by weather or other adversities. He was also an experienced gardener who could make any plant grow with incredible yields regardless of conditions. Larry was a very generous person who dearly loved his family and cherished his friends. He epitomized one who would “give you the shirt off his back”.
Larry is survived by six brothers and three sisters: Jack De Pierre (Barbara) of Anderson, SC; Kirk De Pierre (Bev) of Paw Paw; John De Pierre (Kelly) of Pensacola, FL; Joe De Pierre (Amy) of Paw Paw; Tim De Pierre (Chris) of Paw Paw; Eric Page of Paw Paw; Melodee De Pierre of Jessup, GA; Michelle Page of Kalamazoo; Tammy Todd (Jason) of Cassopolis; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother William, and life partner Cynthia Alsup.
Larry will be laid to rest in Waverly Township Cemetery. A graveside service will take place at a later date.
