The lineup for this year’s KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship community concert has been announced.
Concert organizer Bryan Joseph told Benton Harbor City Commissioners Monday the show will be a treat for all of southwest Michigan as the PGA event is held for the last time, at least for a while, at Harbor Shores.
“We’ve got three amazing artists coming to this community on Wednesday, May 22 at 7 p.m. at the Dwight P. Mitchell City Center Park,” Joseph said.
The concert opener will be Kim Scott, who Joseph said was rated Billboard’s top artist in 2022 with the single, Shine. Performing second will be Gerald Albright, who was also featured in 2022’s community concert.
“Back by popular demand, eight-time Grammy nominated Gerald Albright will be here. And here’s the caveat, folks. Everybody who knows somebody, they need to be at this concert, because Gerald, I talked to him two weeks ago. His tour is called the G-Funk Tour, and it’s a tribute to James Brown.”
The headliner will be R&B and soul vocalist Jeffrey Osborne, who is known for hits like On the Wings of Love.
The free community concert will be at Dwight P. Mitchell City Center Park on May 22 starting at 7 p.m.
