Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel will speak about election security at Lake Michigan College this month.

LMC says Nessel will be hosted by the League of Women Voters of Berrien and Cass Counties and LMC Votes, its student election engagement group.

LMC political science instructor Tiffany Bohm says Michigan is ahead of many states thanks to protections put in place by the Attorney General’s office, and she’s excited to hear from Nessel.

A former criminal prosecutor and civil rights attorney, Nessel was sworn in as Michigan’s 54th Attorney General in January 2019. She’s going to speak at the Mendel Center’s Hanson Theater on April 30 at 6 p.m.

The event is open to the public and free. Nessel will also take questions.
